This Privacy Policy explains how Split (the "App"), provided by ZenkaiLabs ("we", "us"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use the App to track and settle shared household expenses.
Information We Collect
- Account information — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo through Firebase Authentication.
- Profile information — a display name, profile photo, and (optionally) a UPI ID that you add so housemates can settle payments with you.
- App content you create — the houses/groups you create or join, expenses, splits, settlements, categories, activity, and any house photos you upload.
- Notification token — a device push-notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) used to send you reminders and updates.
- Technical/usage data — basic diagnostic and interaction data needed to operate the service.
How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To provide the core service: creating houses, recording and splitting expenses, and tracking settlements.
- To sync your data across your devices.
- To send notifications related to your houses and expenses.
How Information Is Shared
- With other members of your houses/groups. Your display name, profile photo, expenses, splits, settlements, and UPI ID are visible to other members of any house you join. Only share a house with people you trust.
- With service providers. We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Messaging) to store and process data on our behalf. See the Firebase Privacy and Security and Google Privacy Policy.
- We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, the associated profile and content are removed, subject to reasonable backup and legal retention periods.
Deleting Your Account and Data
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing faizanahmadi2000@gmail.com from the email address linked to your account. We will action verified requests within 30 days.
Security
We rely on Google Firebase's infrastructure and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to safeguard your information.
Children
Split is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
